  • Pint in a Pub, Thursday 28 May, Talbot Tregaron Thursday 28 May 2026 19:00 Talbot

    Our May social will be in the Talbot, Tregaron on Thursday 28 May from 7pm until 9pm

    (please note that these monthly events now start an hour later than last year).

    The Talbot is a long-standing entry in the Good Beer Guide and offers a choice of up to three cask ales, often from Wales and the Borders.

    Come along to enjoy a drink with fellow local CAMRA members, and stay for as little or as long as suits you.

  • Heritage crawl of historic pubs in Wolverhampton Saturday 6 June 2026 Wolverhampton

    Here is the plan for our visit to some of Wolverhampton’s historic pubs on Saturday 6 June.

    The contact on the day is our social secretary Martin on 07875 841581.

    • 09.27 depart Aberystwyth on the direct train to Wolverhampton
    • 12.11 arrive Wolverhampton
    • 12.15 - 1pm: Posada - 3 star listed Victorian pub near station. Wye valley beers and guests. Snacks available. Opens 11.30.
    • Split for lunch. Various options including Moon under the Water (Wetherspoon pub) or take your own food to next pub.
    • Reconvene at 2pm - 3pm: Lych Gate Tavern - oldest pub in Wolverhampton with parts dating to 1500. Up to ten real ales largely from the Black Country. Snacks available and you can bring in your own food. Opens noon.
    • 3pm - 4.30pm: Combermere Arm’s - just outside city centre (10 minute walk). One star listed pub with beer garden. Greene King ales and real cider. Opens noon.
    • 4.30pm until departure: Great Western - located next to station. Former winner of CAMRA national pub of the year. Range of Batham and Holden ales. Food and snacks available. Opens 11.30.
    • Return trains to Aberystwyth: choice of 17.41 (arrives 20.20), 18.41 (direct train, arrives 21.21) or 19.41 (arrives 22.23).
  • Presentation of West Wales cider pub of the year award, Tuesday 9 June Tuesday 9 June 2026 19:00 Ty Seidr Bar & Bottle Shop

    CAMRA’s Area Organiser Steve Brady will present the West Wales cider pub of the year award to Tŷ Seidr at 7pm on Tuesday 9 June.

    This Aberystwyth pub offers up to six ever-changing ciders served from bag in box and keg plus a large variety of bottled ciders to drink in or take away.

    Tŷ Seidr was eligible for the West Wales competition because it had already won the Bae Ceredigion CAMRA cider pub of the year award.

    Come along to raise a toast to the success of one of our local pubs, and to wish them well in the competition to find the CAMRA Wales cider pub of the year.

  • Trip to Germany and Belgium by train Tuesday 16 June 2026 Germany & Antwerp - Beer Passion Belgian beer festival

  • Pint in a Pub, Thursday 25 June, Ship & Castle Aberystwyth Thursday 25 June 2026 19:00 Ship & Castle

    We return to Aberystwyth for our monthly social, and we’ll be in the Ship and Castle on Thursday 25 June May from 7pm until 9pm.

    The Ship and Castle has won many CAMRA awards over the years and is a long-standing entry in the Good Beer Guide.

    It offers a choice of five ever-changing cask ales and, if you can’t decide what to have, you can order a tasting platter of five one third pints.

  • Walk and pint in a pub, Thursday 30 July Thursday 30 July 2026 Railway Inn

    Martin will lead a short walk from Borth.

    After the walk, we will visit at least one of the town’s pubs for a drink and/or a meal.
